Our English speaking driver will pick you up in the morning from your hotel in Baku.
At arrival to Gobustan you will be surprised with brand new, modern and very informative museum. After visiting the museum, you will see the actual petroglyphs of Gobustan. We can proudly say that this is going to be the oldest thing that you have ever seen in your life. Walking in arid nature, exploring petroglyph sites and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
After walking we will head for mud volcanoes. Once you are here you will be surprised that:
-This is look like a moon landscape
-The volcanoes are extremely cold
After exploring the territory, taking the pictures, observing how bubbles of mud comes out from the ground and flowing down, we will head to Shirvan National Park in Salyan.
You will also be provided binoculars to watch them closely. Although many birds, plants and animals are available over there, for sure, gazelles are number one reason for all to visit Shirvan National Park at least one time in their life.
Useful information:
From the exit of Baku city, the drive time to Gobustan Rock art will be 60 KM or 1-hour maximum.
From Gobustan Rock art to Gobustan mud volcanoes, the drive time will be 20-30 mins.
On the way, you can have lunch at Hacioglu restaurant. Or, you can prepare your fast food in advance. Not too many restaurants are available at this part of the country.
